QuavEncoder allows to capture raw video/audio signals through HDMI, SDI and Analog connections.
Multi-level real-time encoding
QuavEncoder allows the real-time Full HD video encoding up to 5 concurrent quality levels (e.g. 90p, 180p, 360p, 720p, 1080p). The encoder is designed for HLS and DASH adaptive HTTP streaming.
QuavEncoder supports H.264/VP8 (video) and AAC/Vorbis (audio) codecs and FLV, MPEG-TS, MP4 and WebM containers. Beta: H.265 and VP9 video codecs 4K encoding, 3D stereoscopic and 360° panoramic video formats.
The encoder can transcode remote sources accessible through HTTP/FTP/RTP/RTSP/RTMP and TCP/UDP protocols.
The encoded video content can be sent to remote video streaming platforms using the RTMP (e.g. Wowza, Facebook Live, YouTube Live) protocol and to cloud services such as Amazon S3 and Google Cloud Storage.
The encoder can be controlled using a RESTful API and a web dashboard compatible with modern Desktop (PC) and Mobile (Android, iOS) browsers.
We use QuavEncoder for audio/video acquisition and live encoding for the Politecnico di Bari WebTV.
Rack unit version (1U) of QuavEncoder, for stable installations with ethernet 10/100/1000 connection.
Portable version with Mini-ITX form factor. Equipped with WiFi and optional 3G/4G mobile card and Solid State (SSD) disk unit.
Note: both models can be equipped with Blackmagic® Decklink and Intensity capture cards.
