QuavBox allows you to air in real-time breaking news, live sports, and events by employing multiple wireless connections such as 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Max. QuavBox captures digital and analog video camera outputs at HD and SD resolutions and it transmits the video signal over multiple wireless connections to the QuavServer located in a Television or Journal studio for the broadcast on TV and web sites. By employing Cloud Computing technologies, QuavCloud allows you to integrate in your site the video received in real-time by the QuavBox and to broadcast it to a virtually unlimited Web audience with the pay-as-you-go pricing model.
QuavBox is a portable device connected to a video camera that allows you to air live events with a very low delay by aggregating the bandwidth of multiple wireless connections. QuavBox is quick and simple to operate: it automatically connects to all the available networks and after selecting a video quality preset, you are ready to put the backpack on your shoulders and go live! QuavBox employs a proprietary technology that automatically adapts the video quality to the available bitrate allowing you to stream the video content even in the most adverse conditions. The QuavBox user interface can be accessed by any mobile device such as Android smartphones and tablets, iPhone and iPad so that the box can be operated remotely and securely. The interface is clear and very intuitive: in the home panel the operator can check the camera settings, the connected wireless cards, the rate at which each wireless card is sending, the aggregated bitrate. If you want to change any settings you can do it through the options panel.
QuavServer allows you to monitor and manage remotely the QuavBox through a simple graphical user interface. The video flow can be edited, re-encoded, and distributed in broadcast through a TV station or on the Web through the QuavCloud.
QuavCloud is the Cloud Computing solution that allows you to reach a virtually unlimited Web audience with a pay-as-you-go pricing model. It is possible to integrate the video received by the QuavBox in your website through a Flash applet or by exploiting the new HTML5 technology.
The product is built on proprietary technologies based on granted US patents focusing on algorithms to adapt the video quality to the available bandwidth over wireless connections (e.g. HSPA) and on algorithms to aggregate the bandwidth of different links. The supported video codecs are H.264 and WebM/VP8.
